A little bit of Spring in (not so sunny right now) Sunnyland

When the rain lets up in March it is time to take advantage and search for signs of spring. We took the dogs for a walk around Sunnyland and here is what we found…

Even the chickens were getting some scratching in before it started raining again. There are so many cute little “Urban Farms” in Bellingham. A great book about urban farming is: Farm City: The Education of an Urban Farmer by Novella Carpenter

You can check out the authors blog: Ghost Town Farm

Do not know what this bush is but it is very pretty and has great foliage and flowers for so early in the spring.

  1. Gorgeous! I noticed some cherry trees blooming along Woburn yesterday, and the tulip bulbs we planted in the fall are all popped up out of the ground!! Yay spring. 🙂
